GrocerySync is operated by FitzGriffel Designs, LLC ("GrocerySync," "we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information we collect through the GrocerySync app and website (grocerysync.app), how we use it, and what choices you have.
Account information: Name, email address, and password (or authentication token) when you create an account.
Household data: Information about household members you invite to share a GrocerySync account, including their email addresses and any shared grocery/list data.
Receipt data: Images of receipts you scan, and the itemized data extracted from them (store, items, prices, dates).
Payment information: We do not directly store your credit card number. Payment is processed by Stripe, and Stripe's own privacy policy governs data you enter at checkout. We retain only your subscription status, plan tier, and billing history metadata.
Usage data: Basic analytics on how you use the app (e.g., feature usage, scan frequency) to improve the product.
We use your information to:
• Provide and maintain your account and household sharing
• Process receipt scans and match items using AI-assisted matching
• Process subscription payments and send billing-related communications
• Send transactional emails (e.g., password resets, receipts, plan changes)
• Improve app features and fix bugs
• Communicate with you about your account or, if you've opted in, product updates
We use the following service providers ("subprocessors") to operate GrocerySync. Each processes a limited slice of your data solely to provide their service to us:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We retain your account and receipt data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain billing records for tax/legal purposes.
You can:
• Access, update, or delete your account information at any time from within the app
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us at the email below
• Delete your account, which removes your household data (shared household members will be notified)
• Unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time
If you are a California resident or in a jurisdiction with additional data rights (e.g., EU/UK), you may have further rights — contact us to exercise them.
We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit, Supabase's row-level security, and access controls — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
GrocerySync is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify active users of material changes via email or in-app notice before they take effect.
